Decyfer Down At The Grammy Awards! While they didn't win Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album at this year's Grammy Awards, the boys in Decyfer Down got the red carpet treatment!
Josh Oliver checked in about their new song "Best I Can": "John Cooper from Skillet actually helped write it. We're good friends with Skillet and they've been a big influence on us as we've toured, plus they're amazing people. The song itself is very powerful and revolves around the idea of being real, honest, and genuine. Look, we may not be perfect and we're going to screw up, but we're doing the best we can! God accepts you for who you are and knows our hearts as we strive to live for Him. We can't walk all over grace, but we can strive to live better and be who we need to be no matter what. He doesn't operate on the scorecard kind of idea. It's a real, genuine, song that people seem to latch onto because there's an underlying honesty that a lot of people are craving these days."

Adam Agee (Stellar Kart) Talks About "We Shine" "Our focus as a band from day one has been to encourage our fans to be unafraid and unashamed to show the world what they believe. This song talks about going into the darkest places and carrying the light of Jesus to extinguish the darkness. Matthew 5:14 says, 'You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.' Blending in and hiding in the shadows is not an option." -Adam (Stellar Kart)
*** "We Shine" is now TOP 10 at CHR and TOP 20 at ROCK! ***

Ask Bart Millard (MercyMe)
Q: OK, so while TONS of stations added the song "All Of Creation" last week... some are still asking what the significance behind the very creative title for your upcoming new album: The Generous Mr. Lovewell?
A: The album, The Generous Mr. Lovewell, revolves around a fictional character we created who reminds us that we simply need to love others well. For some of us, it means that we need to put hands and feet on our ideology and rhetoric. For others, it means that we need to continue in doing well, but to not stop there. We need to let people know why we are called to make a difference. Our prayer is that this album would mobilize the body of Christ to encourage people in word and deed.
It's almost like a 'pay-it-forward' idea that revolves around the Cross. We are called to be servants to our neighbors, but if we don't share the gospel with them, it's almost offensive and we have only accomplished a part of what God has called us to do. We need to stop letting the world teach us theology about how to act or speak. We need to encourage one another to provide a helping hand to our neighbor, offer up random acts of kindness and share with others how our lives have been transformed by the power of the Cross. It doesn't take much action - or even many words - to make a difference both here and forever. -Bart Millard (MercyMe)
