HAPPY NEW YEAR! MERCYME PRESENTS: FINALLY HOME
Returning to the deep well of emotion that comes from losing a loved one, Bart Millard felt like there was still more to be written about the passing of his father, who died of cancer when he was a senior in high school. The result... Finally Home.

VOTA Shoots Music Video For "Hard To Believe" Shooting a music video is one of those things you never think that YOU will do. It's always someone else or some band you like that gets a music video. In early December though, the camera turned on us! What a seriously tiring and nerve racking thing it is. You always hear about such demanding actors or musicians, but I do have to give them a little cred... this stuff is hard! Just being on camera and doing your thing (even if just playing along to your own song) is really tiring. If anyone has ever given a speech in front of a huge crowd or done theater stuff you probably can relate. Anyway, the director taped Bry, Case, Riley and I all separately so that he could do all the fancy effects stuff that he is planning. The thing is, he made each one of us dance by ourselves for one entire take. So for like three minutes we would just dance and do stuff in front of the camera so he could have little snippets of us making fools of ourselves to edit into the video. -Scott (VOTA)

Jason Roy Shares How He Stays Humble On The Road It's really hard to be a servant when people come up to you before a show and ask you if they can get you anything: food, water, drinks, whatever. When you get to live on the road, with all its frills, it's hard not to get cocky. Our biggest plans for Building429's future revolve around breaking down our pride and becoming more servant-minded again.
This also means spending more time with our families. When we're home, our first priority isn't practice; it's time with our wives and kids. We want to have the best of both worlds - to be in a successful band, but to be fathers and husbands too. Our families have been so amazing. They know how much we love doing this, and their love and sacrifices make this happen record after record. -Jason (Building429)

Ask Jenny (Addison Road)
Q: How was your Christmas... and what's the latest with the baby?
A: First things first... we are having a girl! Anniston Cate Simmons and she is still on schedule for April 29th.
Now that we have that taken care of... my church staff decided a few years back to ditch the Christmas party, staff bonuses, and gifts and to use that money instead to bless people in the community. So, they take thousands of dollars, break into teams and they have two hours to go into the community and take care of those in need. They come back with beautiful stories. Someone dealing with cancer, or a friend of a friend whose lights have been cut off, a ministry that needs some extra money, things like this.
Anyways, I got to play hostess this year for the potluck lunch that followed and listened to the staff as they shared their stories and visited. Somewhere in the midst of keeping drinks filled and plates stacked I completely missed the brand new baby stroller and car seat that were wheeled in. And my ears weren't even listening to my pastor who was telling the group that the next person they were blessing, "travels full time and ministers to people on and off stage and has a hard time making ends meet and is just finishing a 40 city tour, and is trying to get ready for her new baby, and pours herself out into people's lives day in and day out." But then I felt everyone looking at me. And I realized... wait, that's me.
Before I know it I am crying and looking at the most adorable travel stroller system and three baby bottles that had $500 in cash rolled up and stuffed into them. And I am realizing that I wasn't really there to serve, but to be served, and I am awe-struck.
