Decyfer Down - In Stores This Week!
Decyfer Down's brand-new release on S/R/E Recordings, End of Grey, hits stores nationwide TOMORROW, June 6th! The members of Decyfer Down include: Caleb, Brandon, Chris and Josh from NC. They play with a modern, aggressive rock edge with catchy hooks and their sound reminds Christian Rock lovers of EastWest, Skillet, Mudvayne and Papa Roach. Decyfer's current single "Life Again" is already at Top 10 on Christian Rock charts and is still moving up! The band will be on the road with Day of Fire, Seventh Day Slumber, and Nevertheless, hitting the festival tour circuit all over the country all summer long. And if you don't believe us, hear what one of Christian Rock's best had to say about Decyfer Down: "There are a couple of bands we've been out on tour with that have really impressed me... They have the best guitar riffs of any band I've heard in a long time." ~ Jon Cooper, Skillet

Billboard
Our own INO/SRE VP of Promotions, Grammy-nominated Dan Michaels, was recently interviewed by Ken Tucker in Billboard Magazine in an article entitled "Christians Artists Still Climbing At AC" (5/22/06), which discusses the unprecedented cross-over success of Christian artists at mainstream radio, especially the current efforts of INO Records artists MercyMe with "So Long Self" and Chris Rice/"When Did You Fall (In Love With Me)?" Read an excerpt from this article:
Christian stations have been supportive of his acts' crossover efforts, Michaels says. "They [Christian Radio programmers] were all pretty excited about it [the success of 'I Can Only Imagine'] for us," Michaels says of MercyMe's first foray onto the AC chart."

Christian programmers saw the move as an advantage for their stations, he says. "It allowed that market to further brand an artist that they owned first," he says. "They were the radio station that not only played this one hit; they played all the MercyMe songs."

Ask
Q:  I was wondering if you could ask Chris Rice whether he prefers fried rice or white rice?

A:  Unfortunately, I am bound by the INO Code of Silence and cannot divulge that information. However, I can tell you that Dan Michaels is a fiend when it comes to fried rice. Whenever the promotions team goes to a Chinese buffet Dan loads up on the fried rice...actually, it's the only thing he eats. While the rest of us are gorging ourselves on lo mein, General's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and crab wontons, Dan's sitting there with only a plate of fried rice. He tells us we're totally missing the boat on what Chinese cuisine is all about, but I'm not sure I believe him. Have a question for Ask Jenny? Don't be shy about sending it...just email me at JenniferA@inorecords.com
